A ministry of Harvest Bible Church that exists to meaningfully connect Christian parental educators for the purpose of networking, encouraging, coaching, resourcing, and facilitating their education efforts.
We believe that parents have been assigned by God to raise their children into mature adults who are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. As part of that, we believe that it is the parent’s responsibility to ultimately steward the education of their children as that is the sphere of authority granted to them by God.
That said, the task of raising adults is complex and was never meant to be done in isolation. We believe there is great value in creating venues to support Christian parents in giving their children a God-glorifying education and fully affirm and endorse parents that dedicate themselves to this task. To that end we have created the Harvest Parental Schooling Network (HPSN).
Tuesday Morning Learning Space at Women’s Bible Study
Alongside our weekly Tuesday morning women’s Bible study, the Harvest Parental Schooling Network is providing a learning space open to students JK-Grade 6 with a nursery for younger children as needed. The students will bring material they can work on independently under supervision for a portion of the morning followed by guided gym time.
Thursday Morning Co-operative Education
Co-operative education allows parents and their children to gather together to socialize, share teaching skills, and build meaningful relationships. Each parent must be able to contribute to the program and therefore must be available to stay for the duration of the program. Co-operative education sessions are organized in 7 or 8-week blocks and take place weekly on Thursday mornings. Co-operative sessions are open to Christian families who are choosing to educate their children at home.
