After an unsuccessful attempt to purchase a closed secondary school in our region in 2024, our offer to purchase the former Prince Andrew Public School from GECDSB has been accepted! The property is located on Kelly Rd. in LaSalle between Malden and Disputed roads and features an older 43,000 square foot school building and 15 acres of institutionally-zoned land.
Our intention has long been to secure another property for immediate use by several of our growing ministries and outreaches (Christian academy, youth ministries, summer camps, special services, etc.), while strategically providing our congregation and future generations with another property to potentially expand on. With an average attendance of 1300 per week and a church family of 1600, we are no longer able to accommodate all our desired ministries at our Spring Garden Rd. property (which we intend to retain for worship and ministry unless God directs otherwise). Institutionally-zoned properties of this size are very rare and we are delighted by God’s provision, and intend to use it for God’s glory and the benefit of our community. We anticipate taking possession this summer.
